Reasons for unstable current in wood pellet machine
As we all know, the pressure roller of the wood pellet machine rotates at a constant speed, and the working state is basically the same at every moment. Assuming that the amount of feed material remains unchanged, the energy consumption should also be relatively stable, and the current on the motor should also be relatively stable. Then, when the current of the wood pellet machine is unstable, the cause needs to be investigated.
1. Adjust the feeding amount when the wood pellet machine is working:
As long as the material thickness in the feeding area is less than the maximum starting point of the pressing area, it will directly affect the effective working range length of the pressing area and extrusion area, and cause current fluctuations and changes in hourly output.
If the thickness of the feed area is greater than the starting point of the compression zone, apart from increasing the thickness of the material layer in the feed area, it will not have any impact on the hourly output and energy consumption per unit time. It will not cause changes in current and time output.
2. If the material layer thickness in the feeding area exceeds the maximum starting point of the pressing area, then the interval between the pressing area and the extrusion area will be constant without any change. The pinch-in angle of the zone where the over-fed material is located is greater than the critical friction angle, and the material will not be pinched into the compression zone. After the feeding amount is increased, the balance of in and out will be broken, and the in and out will be greater than the out, and the material layer in the feeding area will accumulate thicker and thicker until all the gaps are filled. The feed port will be blocked, causing the wood pellet machine to not work properly (or overflowing from the secondary port of the feed cover). At this time the current will increase.
3. In the actual work of the wood pellet machine, as the feeding amount continues to change, the instantaneous output and main motor current will change accordingly. When the thickness of the feeding material does not exceed the maximum starting point of the compression zone, the increase in the amount of feeding powder will not cause the material layer to pile up in the feeding zone. Once the feeding amount is too large and exceeds the thickness of the maximum starting point of the compression zone, the material layer will accumulate and gradually increase, and the pellet machine will not work properly. The current will fluctuate and become unstable.
4. It is assumed that the power of the main motor is very large or the motor fails to be overloaded after the thickness of the feed exceeds the thickness of the maximum entry point of the compaction zone due to comprehensive changes in many variables. At this time, feeding more powder will not increase the hourly output, nor will it cause an increase in the main motor current. Instead, it will only continue to increase the pile of powder accumulated in the machine until the inner cavity of the pellet machine is filled. Cause the granulator to not work properly. Of course, this special phenomenon rarely occurs in actual production (this phenomenon may occur if the moisture content of the raw material is too large, the effective aspect ratio is too small, the pressure roller is severely worn, and the gap is not adjusted, the raw material is not replaced, etc.), this is what we Undesirable operating conditions.
5. When the main motor power is not large enough compared with the corresponding granulation parameters, our feeding thickness is at the end of the extrusion zone and the maximum starting point of the compression zone (this will vary depending on the raw materials and compression ratio, effective aspect ratio, humidity, pressure roller and other variable factors), generally it will not exceed the maximum starting point. As the feeding amount increases, the compression zone The length of the section will be shortened, and the section length of the squeeze zone will gradually increase accordingly. At the same time, the main motor current will gradually increase until it reaches the maximum value allowed. If the current reaches the protection value we set, but the feeding thickness has not exceeded the thickness of the maximum starting point of the compression zone, and then increases the feeding amount, the safety system will operate and trip, causing the biomass pellet machine to malfunction work.
