1. Scope of application of sleeve dryer

Energy-saving sleeve dryer is a type of hot air dryer. It is mainly used to dry granular materials within a certain temperature and particle size range, such as: yellow sand used in the dry mortar industry, various specifications of molding sand used in the foundry industry, blast furnace slag used in the building materials and cement industry, and small-grained clay. It cannot be used in the chemical industry. Small particle materials that are resistant to chemical changes and are not afraid of high temperatures and smoke stains. According to different industry requirements for the final moisture content of dried materials, the moisture content of dried materials can be below 1-0.5%.


2. Working principle of hot air mixing dryer

The wet materials that need to be dried are sent to the hopper by a belt conveyor or bucket elevator, and then enter the feeding end through the feeding pipe through the feeding machine of the hopper. The inclination of the feeding pipe should be greater than the natural inclination of materials to facilitate materials to flow into the dryer smoothly. The cylinder of hot air dryer is a rotating cylinder, which is slightly inclined with horizontal line. Materials are fed in through the higher end, and heat carrier enters through the lower end, and contacts with materials in counter-flow. Sometimes heat carrier and materials flow into the cylinder together.


As the cylinder rotates, the materials move to the lower end due to gravity. When the wet materials move forward in the barrel, they receive the heat from the heat carrier directly or indirectly, and the wet materials dry. Then, the wet materials are sent out through the discharge end through a belt conveyor or screw conveyor. The inner wall of the barrel is equipped with a lifting plate, which can lift the materials and scatter them, increases the contact surface of the materials and the airflow, in order to improve the drying rate and forward the materials advancement.
