What are the advantages and disadvantages of a three-drum dryer compared to a single-drum dryer?

The three-drum dryer is developed on the basis of the single-drum dryer. Compared with the single-drum dryer, it has the following advantages:

1. High technical content, the outer drum can play a role in heat preservation, and the thermal efficiency can be as high as about 80%. The thermal efficiency of the single-drum dryer is only about 35%. When using the three-drum dryer, it is more energy-saving and has a higher output.

2. The three-drum dryer occupies a small area, which is about 1/3 shorter than the single-drum dryer, saving about 40% of the plant investment.

3. The three-drum dryer uses the friction between the friction roller and the drum to drive the operation of the dryer, which increases the stability of the dryer.

4. The outlet temperature of the three-drum dryer is low, which is conducive to extending the service life of the tail dust removal system.

5. The hot air furnace of the three-drum dryer can use a boiling furnace, a coal injection machine, a hand-burning furnace, or fuel oil and gas. It can dry materials such as blocks, granules and powders below 20mm.

The disadvantages of three-drum dryer compared with single-drum dryer: three-drum dryer has its own limitations. It cannot dry highly viscous materials. Once the inside of the dryer becomes sticky, it is difficult to clean. It also cannot dry large particles of materials.
