Series use of cyclone dust collectors and other dust collectors

1. The dust removal efficiency of cyclone dust collectors generally increases with the increase of dust load, and if the cyclone dust collector is well designed, it can be used to collect any amount of dust that can be transported by air flow materials. Therefore, cyclones are often used as first-stage dust collectors to take advantage of their ability to handle high dust loads. The most common configuration is a cyclone followed by a fabric, electrostatic or wet dust collector.

2. The cyclone dust collector is used as a pre-dust collector to prevent lumpy materials or materials that may cause fire from entering the second-stage dust collector. Another function is to classify materials: the cyclone dust collector collects coarse particles, and the second-stage dust collector collects fine particles. Using a cyclone dust collector and a bag dust collector in series can reduce the dust load on the fabric, thereby reducing the frequency of fabric and dust cleaning. Some people are opposed to this series method, thinking that the proportion of fine dust entering the fabric filter is large. As a result, the dust filling layer attached to the fabric often reduces the porosity, making cleaning difficult and failing to reduce the frequency of cleaning. And the purpose of reducing dust load can be reduced. Some filters that cannot maintain constant resistance will reduce the gas flow when the resistance increases. At this time, the performance of the cyclone dust collector will be adversely affected. In particular, some systems use "oversized" fans, which is even more serious, because at this time the fans will work in the flatter part of the pressure-air volume characteristic curve. When dealing with industrial flue gas, a cyclone dust collector is sometimes installed in front of the electrostatic precipitator. This is because: the dust load is small, which creates favorable working conditions for the electrostatic precipitator. The dust load is reduced, and the vibration of the electrostatic precipitator is reduced. The amount of dust caused by returning to the airflow is also reduced; during soot blowing, the soot blown out from the boiler can be collected by the cyclone dust collector, making the electrostatic precipitator work more efficiently. Cyclone dust collectors and wet dust collectors are used in series, mainly to reduce the workload of mud treatment.

Mechanical characteristics

1. Small structural volume, simple installation, small floor space, low project budget, small resistance of equipment, and large processing air volume;

2. There are no rotating mechanisms and moving parts, easy maintenance and no technical specifications and requirements;

3. Suitable for the purification of high-temperature dust-containing gases. Generally speaking, it is limited to the purification of non-fiber, non-adhesive dust, and non-corrosive substances at an ambient temperature of 400 degrees. When used to process corrosive substances, the dust removal equipment should be made of anti-corrosion steel plates or the inner wall should be sprayed with anti-corrosion paint; when used to process high-temperature exhaust gas, cooling measures need to be taken, and materials with better wear resistance can be selected.

4. It has a wide range of use. After a wear-resistant lining is installed in the dust removal equipment, it can be used to purify and treat smoke containing highly corrosive dust.

5. The main function of the cyclone dust collector is to try to avoid removing solid object granular impurities and liquid droplets carried in the exhaust gas of the transmission medium to achieve gas-solid-liquid separation to ensure the normal operation of pipelines and machinery and equipment.
